You'll see a random letter — pick the matching code word from four options. One pass covers all 26 letters.

How the Quiz Works

Each question shows a single letter; you pick its code word from four candidates. The wrong answers aren't random — every option starts with the same letter as the answer (Kilo, King, Kaufmann…), so the quiz tests genuine recall of the NATO alphabet rather than pattern-matching on first letters. Hint dims two wrong options, Skip concedes the letter, and keys 1–4 or A–D answer from the keyboard.

Your streak, accuracy, and achievements are stored only in your browser — no account, no sign-up. Answer on consecutive days to build a streak, and drill a different spelling alphabet to work toward the Polyglot award.

Why Multiple Choice First

Recognition comes before recall: picking Kilo out of a lineup is the first stage of committing it to memory, and it is exactly how flashcard systems bootstrap a new deck. Once you score consistently above 90% here, graduate to the Speed Challenge, which makes you produce the words yourself against the clock — or follow the 7-day memorization plan.
